Faith with shoes!

Oh, Lord, my God, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth!

Good morning! My name is Charlotte and I am writing to help us give our first thoughts to the Lord.

Prayer is something none of us do enough of. There are a lot of reasons to pray. Matthew 26:41 says to WATCH AND PRAY, THAT YOU ENTER NOT INTO TEMPTATION: THE SPIRIT INDEED IS WILLING, BUT THE FLESH IS WEAK.

Isn't that true. In our heart of hearts we have the ideal of following the Lord, but before we know it, we've done something completely off the wall that we would not have premeditated to do for anything. That is the reason we need to pray - lest our flesh not get bigger than our spirit.

Aren't you glad for Jesus.

James 5:15-16 says AND THE PRAY OF FAITH SHALL SAVE THE SICK, AND THE LORD SHALL RAISE HIM UP;

AND IF HE HAS COMMITTED SINS, THEY SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM.

CONFESS YOUR FAULTS ONE TO ANOTHER, AND PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER, THAT YOU MAY BE HEALED.

THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH.

Just think how much we can do in just praying. THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH.

Listen to this scripture from Luke 18 NOW HE WAS TELLING THEM A PARABLE TO SHOW THAT AT ALL TIME THEY OUGHT TO PRAY AND NOT LOSE HEART, (that was the purpose of this story He told) SAYING,

"IN A CERTAIN CITY THERE WAS A JUDGE WHO DID NOT FEAR GOD AND DID NOT RESPECT MAN.

THERE WAS A WIDOW IN THAT CITY, AND SHE KEPT COMING TO HIM, SAYING, 'GIVE ME LEGAL PROTECTION FROM MY OPPONENT.'

FOR A WHILE HE WAS UNWILLING; BUT AFTERWARD HE SAID TO HIMSELF, 'EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT FEAR GOD NOR RESPECT MAN, YET BECAUSE THIS WIDOW BOTHERS ME, I WILL GIVE HER LEGAL PROTECTION, OTHERWISE BY CONTINUALLY COMING SHE WILL WEAR ME OUT."

AND THE LORD SAID, "HEAR WHAT THE UNRIGHTEOUS JUDGE SAID;

NOW, WILL NOT GOD BRING ABOUT JUSTICE FOR HIS ELECT WHO CRY TO HIM DAY AND NIGHT, AND WILL HE DELAY LONG OVER THEM?

I TELL YOU THAT HE WILL BRING ABOUT JUSTICE FOR THEM QUICKLY.

HOWEVER, WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMES, WILL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?"

Prayer is a demonstration of our faith. It is faith with shoes.

Mark 11:24 says "THEREFORE I SAY TO YOU, ALL THINGS FOR WHICH YOU PRAY AND ASK, BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED THEM, AND THEY WILL BE GRANTED YOU."

This scripture does not classify prayers for ourselves or prayer for others - it says ALL THINGS FOR WHICH YOU PRAY AND ASK, BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED THEM, AND THEY WILL BE GRANTED YOU.

The only way you are going to go amiss is if you ask for something to 'consume it upon your flesh,' in other words, if it is something that would be sin to you that is contrary to God's Word, forget it, He'll not grant it.

Lord, we give you praise for Who You are. We ask that You forgive our sins and shortcomings. We come to You today praying for the many sick among us. Brenda, Harvey, Joe, Jodie, Pam, Tracy and her husband - this scripture says that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righeous man availeth much and because of Jesus, we are righteous. You said the prayer of faith would raise up the sick and we ask You, Father, to raise these up and heal them from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet - and where they have sinned, forgive their sins, as Your Word says. In Jesus name we ask. Amen (it is done)

Have a great day today!

Charlotte
