And it came to pass!

Lord, You are my shield, my strength, my portion, my deliverer, my shelter, my strong tower, my very present help in time of need. Thank You.

Good morning! My name is Charlotte and I am writing to help us give our first thoughts to the Lord. Hope you had a great weekend.

There is a phrase that I have come to rely on in my life. That phrase is "And it came to pass." In checking in my Dake Bible, this phrase appears 430 times in the Bible. Think about it. 'And it came to pass.'

Nothing stays the same. Today's problems are tomorrows victories. Today's sicknesses are tomorrows healings. The things that bothered us last month are only a memory. The problems we had raising our children are lost in the pride of their growing up to be strong adults.

There is an old song that says 'I'm going through - I'm going through - I'll pay the cost no matter what others do - I'll go the way of God's anointed few - I started out with Jesus and I'm going through.'

When I was a little girl, my heart's desire was to ride a bicycle. My dad was very protective of me and would not let me have one because he thought I would get hurt. Kids have their own ways anyway. The kids across the street had several big bikes. One of them was a 26" boys bike. There was an old tree stump out there, so I would climb up on that tree stump and get on that bike even though it was a lot bigger than I was (I was probaably 5-6 years old). I would get on that bike and fall and get back up on that stump and get on that bike and fall, but I kept on keeping on until I learned to ride that big old bike.

You see it is not the falling that counts it is the failing to get back up and try again that matters.

And it came to pass that I learned to ride that bicycle, even though I can't imagine me riding one now or to even have a desire to ride one -

When I found out I was going to have a baby, and I was sick, sick, sick. Thought that baby would never be born. Thought I had a tumor. But it came to pass that it was a boy and he is in his 40's now and fine and healthy.

Things in this life come to pass. So no matter what comes your way today, take it as a challenge because it has come to pass.

That song that says 'Through it all - Through it all - I've learned to trust in Jesus - I've learned to trust in God - Through it all - Through it all - I've learned to depend upon His Word.'

Have a great day today as it also has come to pass, so until tomorrow....

Charlotte
